Portals & Public Pages

Everything in this section is what the other side of a relationship sees — renters, vendors, exhibitors, and the people who just need to sign something or pay a bill.

None of it is your admin app. Portal users have their own records, their own logins, and never see anything but their own data.

Two kinds of public-facing surface

Portals (logged in)

An ongoing relationship with a login and a history.

PortalWhoWhat they do
Renter PortalRenters and their contactsSign, pay, upload, request bookings, manage payment methods
Vendor PortalAccepted fair vendorsStatus, contract, invoices, uploads, sales reporting, promo materials
Exhibitor PortalFair exhibitorsEntries, results, premiums
Government PortalCounty and municipal reviewersRead the list of events flagged for permitting

The government portal is the odd one out: a reviewer signs in as a member of your account with the Government role rather than as a portal contact, and that role corrals them onto a single read-only page.

Public pages (no login)

A single link that does one job, sent by email.

PageFor
Public Signing PageReading and signing an agreement, and paying the deposit
Public Invoice PageViewing and paying an invoice, downloading the PDF

Public pages exist because asking somebody to create an account before they can sign a contract loses contracts. The link works, they sign, and if they want a login afterwards it is there.

Branding

Every portal and public page carries your account's logo and details from Settings → General — not ours. The renter is dealing with you.

Turning portals on

The renter portal is enabled in Settings → Portal, where you also decide whether SMS login codes are available.

Vendor and exhibitor portals follow their event's modules.

The government portal needs no switch — invite a reviewer with the Government role in Settings → Team and it is there for them.

Why it is worth it

The portal is the feature that reduces phone calls. A renter who can find their own invoice, pay it, download their signed agreement, and upload their certificate of insurance at nine at night does not call the office on Monday to ask you to email it again.

Fairground 360 — the operating system for fairgrounds, event venues, and the people who rent them.
